The Author
 Fernando Ortenzi was born in 20/09/1974 at Tivoli, Rome, Italy.
Always enthousiast of engines starts when child in the father's smithery.
In 1985 start to race with Kart in the national races until 1996.
Reached the Master Degree in mechanical engineering in 2003 with a thesis about numerical simulation of engine combustion.
Continues the thesys work and in 2004 developes a complete numerical model of a spark ignition engine.
From 2004 he is a research fellow at CTL (Centre for Transport and Logistics) of "La Sapienza" University of Rome and his reseach fields is to develop a new methodology for energetical and environmental impact measurement of vehicles. He has hence developed a software to communicate with the electronic system of the vehicles (OBD-CAN) e thanks to the onroad acquisition campaigns with conventional and hybrid vehicles today works to the development of emissions models for real-time calculation of energetical and environmental impact of internal combustion engines.
